February 16, 2020 [For the purposes of this review, I played the Enhanced Edition for PC on Steam] Maniac Mansion was a breakthrough in many ways, putting an engaging and comical story on your Commodore 64-screen while simultaneously inventing cutscenes and evolving classic adventure games to a whole new level with the development of the SCUMM interface. I was the on-the-edge new-media/technology guy at the LucasArts Entertainment Company, a spin-off of George Lucas's Lucasfilm Ltd. in Marin County, California.
